After hearing a lot of great stories from friends who have been to the place, I was so excited to finally experience the beauty of this university town and experience the warmth of the people of a place known as the City of Gentle People, Dumaguete, the capital of Negros Oriental. Plus the fact that I will be travelling solo again.
The Real Adventure
It never crossed my mind that I was bound to experience real adventure other than the actual escapades in the places that I am scheduled to visit. With a 7:10 AM flight schedule, good thing I decided to pack my things the night before the flight. I woke up at two in the morning. Realizing it was too early, I went back to sleep and set the alarm at four. And then I woke up and guess what, it’s already six! After I recovered from a three-second shock, I immediately changed my clothes, wore my sandals, carried my backpack, ran as fast as I could and hailed a taxi. Yes, without taking a bath, without brushing my teeth, without even combing my hair!
I did not know if I will still be allowed to check in. Then I remembered the night before, Teysi even reminded me that I can already do web check in but forgot to do it. I already paid in full the hotel where I will stay in. My plane ticket was not on a piso fare promo (50% off). I must be in the airport at least by 7:45 to do all the necessary pre-flight stuff.
