One of the much awaited Christmas pasyalan in the Metro is Greenhills Shopping Center’s’ Christmas On Display, more popularly known as C.O.D. that features moving mannequins in a story that varies every year.
This decades-old Christmas display was started by Alex Rosario in the late 1950’s in the façade of the C.O.D. Department Store in Avenida, Manila, which he owned, which later on was transferred to Cubao in Quezon City. The Christmas mannequin play was again transferred to its present home, the Greenhills Shopping Center.
Now on its 11th year, the play this year evolves on the story of Christmas in the Orient which features soldiers, horses, dragon and pagodas. The show will run from November 16 to January 5, from 6:30pm to 11:00pm which lasts around 15 minutes.
Aside from it, the Greenhills Christmas Night Market and the Christmas Bangketa Fair is up until the first week of January 2014 where clothes, toys, other novelty items and street food finds can be bought.
